Conventional wisdom holds that battery-powered vehicles are the future of the automobile. But Hyundai Motor, South Korea's major automaker, isn't so sure. Instead of storing and releasing electricity drawn from the grid like batteries, fuel cells generate electricity through a chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen. Oxygen comes from air.
